Resident accommodation occupies the two upper floors of Vila IRIS. Every suite is triple-glazed for acoustic insulation, insect-screened, individually climate-controlled and furnished in solid wood.

Vila ELENA adds three ensuite suites for your clinical team — two doubles and a twin at attic level. Vila BRUNO is a self-contained residence for your clinical lead. Final occupancy depends on your single- or shared-room policy; we set it with you before dates are confirmed.

At roughly 900 metres, with forest trails and a mountain stream at the property line, the setting does work an urban facility cannot replicate. Everything below is operated by us and slots into your schedule — what is prescribed, and for whom, is decided by your clinicians alone.

Is ForestRetreat a medical clinic?
No. ForestRetreat is not a clinic and provides no medical, psychiatric or psychological services of any kind. We are hospitality and operational infrastructure — three private villas, a full hotel operation and on-site logistics — placed at the disposal of clinics that run their own rehabilitation programme here. Clinical responsibility, licensing and patient care remain entirely with the partnering clinic.

The estate is in Bușteni, in the Bucegi Mountains of the Romanian Carpathians, at around 900 metres altitude. What does ForestRetreat provide, and what stays with the clinic?
We provide the estate itself, a full hotel operation — kitchen, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance — airport transfers, excursions and round-the-clock on-site presence. The partnering clinic provides its own clinicians, treatment protocol, patient selection and clinical supervision. The division is deliberate: you run the programme, we run the place it happens in.
Can a clinic run a pilot before committing long-term?
Yes. The estate is engaged programme by programme rather than on a fixed lease, so a clinic can test a single cohort in Romania before deciding whether to make it a recurring part of its offering.
Is privacy guaranteed for high-profile or VIP patients?
Yes. The estate has no public access, no signage and no shared spaces with strangers. Vila BRUNO can be used as a fully independent single-resident house, airport transfers are private and direct, and Elena or Florian Irsa — the owners, not a management company — personally oversee discretion on site.
What languages are spoken on site?
English, German and Romanian, covering patients and visiting family from the DACH region, the UK, the Netherlands and Scandinavia, as well as domestic Romanian referrals.
How does the partnership process work?
